Dinner & Dharma
at the Temple of Joy

Our Dinner & Dharma evenings are an opportunity for us to come together to share a meal and view an inspirational film or dharma talk by a spiritual teacher.  We explore wisdom from a broad spectrum of paths and perspectives.

We’ll provide a vegan main dish. You are welcome to bring a side dish, salad, or dessert to make it a feast!

Friday June 8th

6:30 PM dish-to-pass meal

7:30 Video

Feel free to come for just the meal, the video, or both!

REQUEST: If you are coming for the dinner, please arrive as close to 6:30 as possible, so we can all enjoy a meal together and have plenty of time to eat before the movie. Thanks!

Dying to Know

In the early 1960s Harvard psychology professors Timothy Leary and
Richard Alpert began probing the edges of consciousness through their
experiments with psychedelics. Leary became a missionary for mind
altering drugs, igniting a global counter-culture movement and landing in
prison after Richard Nixon called him “the most dangerous man in
America.” Alpert journeyed to the East to become Ram Dass, a spiritual
teacher for a new generation and the author of the book “Be Here Now”.
This cinematic vision quest encourages us to ponder questions about life,
death, drugs & the biggest mysteries of the human condition.

Love offering donations gratefully accepted, with no one turned away. All ages welcome.  No dance experience or skill necessary, only a love of great inspiring music and a willingness to explore the sacred through movement. Come dance your prayers!
